This Week at Pacific Asia Museum: June 3-June 9

This Week at Pacific Asia Museum

We’re trying a little something new– a weekly post to make sure you know what’s coming up at Pacific Asia Museum! Make sure to check back every Monday to stay in the know. And as always, you can sign up for our e-newsletter at the bottom of our homepage, or check out our full events calendar here.

Kung Fu Panel and Demo: On Sunday, June 9 at 1:30, join Pacific Asia Museum and Joy of Kung Fu for a panel discussion on the two-person martial arts training exercise “pushing hands.” The discussion will be followed by a Q&A and demonstration. Free for members, $25 nonmembers, advance registration highly recommended at 626-449-2742 x 31.

Rotations: Rotations have begun in our Gallery of Korean Art, The Garden in Asia and The Art of Continuity: Revering our Elders. We’re switching out light-sensitive objects like paintings and textiles to protect them from over-exposure, and now there are many new works to see! Learn more in this recent post.

Coming Up: Fusion Fridays continue on June 21 with a Maori haka warrior dance, Japanese festival dances and more! Members free, nonmembers $15. Reserve your tickets now!
